Hello all you dA users. I am mrsaturn123 or Jesse to my friends.

I'm 19 years old (will be 20 in June), I sit around at home a lot, wash dishes at a local restaurant and happen to be a huge geek.

Things you should know about me is I'm a very complicated person who gets overwhelmed easily and is FAR from perfect but hey, who isn't? I do the best I can and I am friendly.

So if you wish to talk to me and be my friend then go ahead, I'll talk to anyone.
But I warn you I'm slow with messages but please don't take that as I'm ignoring you.

I'm also a webcomic artist and when I'm feeling up to it I update my webcomic, sChIzO, about a schizophrenic cat trying to live in the adult world. I have a host of other projects I'd like to get done as well as I feel I can get them done so stick around!
I used to draw lots of fanart, but not so much anymore. Every now and then I will however and you can see a huge list of fandoms I love below my journal.
I'm OBSESSED with music, though I tend to be a bit picky. I have a list of bands/artists with some favorite songs by them also below my journal if you'd like to see. I tend to love some strange music though so be warned.
I'm a bit of a furry, not completely but I have a tendency to draw lots of anthro characters and I really like their designs.
My interests are also very...ranged. I love anything from Mario, to the dark comic book series "The Amory Wars", to silly cartoons like Kid vs. Kat.

Also last but not least everyone who knows me MUST KNOW, that I am a Christian. I'm not a perfect Christian but I'm doing my best and struggling my way through the growing pains of becoming a follower of Christ and though you may not agree with me this is what I believe in.
I won't try and force it on you but I refuse to keep it to myself as well.
So please be respectful of this.

Have a nice day. I'll be working on this section some more as time goes on.

Concert, New Album and Update I guess

Tue May 15, 2012, 7:36 AM
Whelp, I mean to write a journal after I went to the concert to update you all but I never did. I don't know why but whatever *shrug*

So basically last week I went to see The Dear Hunter perform The Color Spectrum in it's entirety. Basically what that is is 9 EP's, each one being a different color of the rainbow (plus black and white) and each containing four songs that are written to reflect that color in some way. Creative.
And MAN was it awesome live. I've only been to three concerts but this was the first one that was actually seated which was odd but I stood anyway (I was on the end of a row and there was no one behind me anyway so what did I care?). They played three colors at a time (12 songs) and took an intermission. The first segment was Black, Red and Orange. That was pretty amazing as it was, they were all the heaviest songs for sure. ALSO, the singer from Manchester Orchestra, Andy Hull, was featured on Red and he was ACTUALLY THERE for the show! Two of my favorite artists on one stage...amazing.
Then they played Yellow, Green and Blue which was my favorite part. When they played Misplaced Devotion from Yellow, it was incredible. Foot stomping, crowd chanting, the band was dancing around while playing...it's such a fun song, listen to it ;u;. And when they got two songs into Green (which is actually almost like an alternative country sound) someone started shouting at them something. Casey (the frontman) was all like "What? I don't even know what's going on right now! What about a proposal?" Finally they brought up the lights and some guy proposed to his girlfriend which was neat and then the next song they played was one of their slower ballads. That was probably perfectly timed on the guy's part. Then they played Blue which was really relaxing.
The next and last part was Indigo, Violet and White. I was so curious about Indigo cause on the album it was basically electronica and I wanted to hear what it would be like live. They pulled it off very differently but it was amazing. Violet was very theatrical like their old stuff and then White was very uplifting. Right before he started White, Casey was all like "Thankyou guys, I'm going to play these last songs now and hopefully I won't get an aneurism". I'm surprised he lasted for so long. I mean...36 songs with only a few short intermissions...geeeze.

Regardless, they pulled it off PERFECTLY. Not a single flaw and sometimes it was even better than the album.
Basically it was totally worth it.

The only other exciting thing was today, mewithoutYou's new album dropped. Need to listen to it a bit more but it was really good so far. Don't got much else to say on that except that I may review it sometime after I've given it more time.

Other than that, the bad news is that I've been kind of stressed (Sunday night at work we did 92 people and I was by myself...that one killed me) and tired. I need to bring up the motivation to do something again cause I got two full days off for now and I need to use them well.
Hopefully some comic writing, maybe some cleaning...but definitely some listening to mewithoutYou.

Also I've been re-reading Twokinds for the hell of it. I'm remembering what it was I liked about it...which is mostly for Keith and Natani but whatever. I actually enjoy most of it.
I think I'm going to write a full on review of the comic sometime really soon.

Not sure what else to report though. Just kind of a weird week. And this crappy gray weather is getting to me right now.
Whatever.
I hope you're all doing good so...yeah.

Peace out and God bless.
